Mini Activists at Impact Hub Birmingham

Take a look at the fun family events coming up at Impact Hub Birmingham!

Teddy Bear Protest: A family’s guide to protest
Date: Thursday 10th August 2017
Time: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Cost: Pay what you can.
This family event is for parents/guardians, children and babies are welcome

In this workshop & discussion we’ll be talking about what protest and activism feels like as a family. Whether it’s an online campaign like Marley Dias’s appeal #1000blackgirlbooks or at a march or protest, activism gives us the opportunity to discuss world events and injustice with our children and helps to shape them into involved, concerned, civic-minded citizens. With a little preparation, there is no reason why children can’t join adults in having their voices heard. This session will be facilitated by Aliyah Hasinah.
Please note; all children under the age of 3 yrs must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the workshop/s, we ask parents accompanying children over the age of 3 to stay on the premises. Parents/guardians are welcome to join in, alternatively work day passes can be purchased at a special price of £10*
