Chocolatier at Cadbury World
Dawn works in the Chocolate Making Team at Cadbury World in Bournville, and with 14 years’ experience is now one of its most talented chocolatiers.
The Chocolate Making Team use around 12,000kg of chocolate every year to make limited edition and seasonal novelty products, and Dawn spends her time decorating special items including chocolate shoes and personalised chocolate celebration plaques. With a flair for hand-decorating with liquid chocolate and a passion for producing unusual items, Dawn is often called upon to help construct some of the attraction’s most eye-catching displays. Some of her favourite creations to date include chocolate replicas of the Olympic Park and Imperial State Crown complete with edible glitter!
Her most recent masterpiece is a chocolate cot complete with toys to celebrate the arrival of the royal baby. Using around 5.5kg of Cadbury chocolate and taking five days to create, the chocolate cot will be on display in Cadbury World throughout the summer.
Chocolate Making is one of Cadbury World’s fourteen zones and one of the most popular. Here visitors can watch Dawn and the team in action before picking up some of their limited edition designs from the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop on site.
