The Old Rep Theatre
Station Street, Birmingham B5 4DY
The Old Rep is a theatre run by and for young people offering a year-round programme of performances, workshops and creative projects.
The Old Rep is an iconic venue that occupies a unique place in theatre history as Britain's first purpose-built repertory theatre. Opened in 1913, it was the original home the Birmingham Repertory Company led by Sir Barry Jackson. The theatre has been well-preserved and retains many original features from its early days including a mirror rumoured to have been requested by Sir Laurence Olivier himself. Just as in the days of the repertory company, The Old Rep strives to engage, train and entertain the next generation of artists and theatre lovers.
Opening times: Box Office Phones open 10am - 5pm Mon - Fri. Counter Services open 3 hours before a performance.
