Vote for “Big Dave” a finalist in the National Lottery Awards.

One Brummie “Standing up for Birmingham” is Kings Norton resident Big Dave Gauder.  A former world strongman and holder of 26 world records for strength and endurance, Dave has been nominated as one of 6 finalists in the education sector of the prestigious National Lottery Awards.

Bullied at school, Dave now uses his skills, knowledge and experience to run anti – bullying campaigns, working with those on probation and other young people not in training education or employment.  His project SLAM–H transforms the lives of disaffected youths through physical training programmes, mentoring and advice.  Officers in Planning and Regeneration are now working with Big Dave to help develop and expand his project further.

National Lottery winners are selected by on-line voting for which the lines are now open. Please read more about Bid Dave and his Slam-H project and vote for him by following this link  http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards  Please vote before 23rd July, then watch the results live on BBC 1 TV.  Please get behind “Big Dave” - the more votes cast the more chance he has of winning and showing the country that great things happen in Birmingham.
