Waffles, Shakes and Burgers have landed at Selfridges Birmingham
Looking for a real sweet treat next time you’re in Selfridges Birmingham? Archie’s – famed for its fun, fresh and unique items – has opened in for the first time in the city and, boy, are Brummies in for a treat!
The quirky casual diner has been very popular in their home town Manchester and has become a hotspot for passing celebrities. The mouth-watering Pia Mia, created by singer Pia Mia, combines Kinder Bueno, Oreos and Strawberries and cream – perfect for those with a sweet tooth! Both Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have already had their shake battles – with each of them creating their own shakes! Chocoholics should try the American rap star Nas’ shake with blended Crunchie, Oreos and whipped cream!
The eatery specialises in Burgers, Shakes and Waffles. The menu has over 30 shakes, filled to the brim with your favourite chocolates, sweets and fresh fruit, or you can customise your own! Initially, Archie’s were serving only waffles and shakes in the Selfridges concession, however due to demand Archie’s is now serving food with a specialised menu containing all of Archie’s favourites including their infamous Superstar Burger, as well as additional Selfridges exclusive items.
Owners of Archie’s the Rafiq brothers said:
After making a strong presence in the North West, we felt it was time to venture to the midlands. When the collaboration with Selfridges became available, we were thrilled to take the opportunity. We have been overwhelmed with the reception we received when we announced we were opening in Birmingham. We initially decided to only serve shakes and waffles, however customers were disappointed to find out we weren’t serving food; therefore, we have created a custom menu especially for Birmingham.
The new menu also contains over 20 different waffle choices, including peanut butter and Nutella smothered waffles as well as savoury options – you are spoilt for choice! There are several new additions to the menu including different burger and hotdog combinations as well as nachos, fries, waffle sticks and cookie dough to name a few! Archie’s is the place to indulge!
The brothers added:
We’ve always had an interest for food from early childhood, so we carefully create the items on the menu ourselves with input from the team at Archie’s. After the great response we received from opening in Selfridges, we are aiming to open a restaurant diner in Birmingham.
Sam Watts, general manager at Selfridges Birmingham, said:
We’re very excited about the launch of the first Archie’s in Birmingham and are looking forward to welcoming our new customers. Their range of shakes and smoothies are fun and fresh, perfect for a family treat, and we know it won’t be long before Brummies become Archie’s addicts.
