Three ICC Champions Trophy Matches at Edgbaston confirmed as Sell Outs

Three of Birmingham’s five marquee fixtures in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy have now sold out following a final release of tickets.

Edgbaston Stadium will host five of the ICC Champions Trophy’s biggest games and has now allocated all tickets for India v Pakistan on 4 June, England v Australia on 10 June and its semi-final on 15 June.

A limited number of tickets remain available Australia v New Zealand on 2 June and Pakistan v South Africa on 7 June. These tickets can be purchased during the Nissan Trophy Tour at stops in Birmingham this weekend, more information on when and how to buy tickets on the tour here: In addition, the ICC is giving fans the chance to win tickets to these now money-can’t-buy matches through its ‘heroes to champions’ competition, with fans nominating local heroes - nominate your local hero here.

Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, said:

There has been a huge local interest in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, with these three sold out fixtures having been oversubscribed at every ticket release. The tournament is one of the highlights in the global sporting calendar and we’re thrilled to be hosting some of the biggest games in the tournament. We look forward to working with our tournament and city partners to welcome fans from around the world in the coming weeks.

In the last week, more than 15,000 tickets have sold for all games in the ICC Champions Trophy, which is co-hosted by the Oval, in London, and the Cardiff Wales Stadium. Eight fixtures in total have now sold out and sales have well exceeded those for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 in England and Wales. It also takes ticket applications beyond 500,000, from 60 countries, since the ballot last September.

Steve Elworthy, the Tournament Director for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, said:

The demand has been extraordinary so far but there are still limited tickets available for some of matches across all venues.
Again we stress that fans to only buy tickets from authorised ticket sites, which is why we are providing a resale service via It will allow fans to sell any unwanted tickets at face value to fellow fans in a safe and secure way. This is the only way you guarantee a ticket and avoid disappointment.

Fans can sell any tickets they have purchased - and no longer require - through the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 resale service. It is a safe and secure process which ensures that tickets are sold at face value to fellow fans.
