The OakMobile heads out into Birmingham again

The National Trust is returning to Birmingham’s parks and outdoor spaces once again this year and it's bringing its OakMobile with it.

The OakMobile is a mini transportable interactive theatre, which will be sharing tales of the great outdoors throughout July, August and September. The first stop will be at CoCoMad Festival at Cotteridge Park on Saturday 4 July from 12noon until 7pm.

As well as the OakMobile, there will be lots of free outdoor activities for families to enjoy with many from the National Trust’s list of 50 things to do before you’re 11¾ including: going on a barefoot walk, hunting for bugs and building dens.

This year you will also have the chance to meet some of our Urban Rangers who have been working to improve their local green spaces. They will be showcasing some of their conservation work as well as promoting local trails that they have discovered this year.

Dee Whittle, from the National Trust, said:

Birmingham has many fantastic green spaces that are perfect for any number of outdoor activities, and offer a great opportunity for ticking off activities from your 50 things list. Your own back garden or local-park are also great spots for doing most of these activities.
