The Mailbox celebrates the best of British independent brands

Birmingham’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination will soon be showcasing the best of British independent brands with the arrival of Best of Britannia at the Mailbox later this month.

Best of Britannia is a showcase of leading high-end independent British brands, covering everything from fashion and lifestyle to food and drink.

Taking place in the Mailbox’s Urban Room on Level 2 from Thursday 24th until Sunday 27th November, Best of Britannia will be curating a pop-up Black Friday brand retail showcase.

Brands will include Gizelle Rennee, Albus & Flora, Leather Satchel Company, Genevieve Sweeney, Ross Barr, Stolen Form, A-MM-E STUDIO, and The Sweet Potato Spirit Company – a Worcestershire-based company that exclusively creates spirits using sweet potato as its base ingredient.

As well as visitors having the chance to buy products from these specially-chosen brands, Best of Britannia will deliver a handful of product demos over the course of the four days.

David Pardoe, head of marketing, retail and tenant engagement at the Mailbox, comments:

The Mailbox is a place to experience premium brands across fashion, home, lifestyle, food and drink, and the brands curated for the Best of Britannia pop-up will sit alongside our existing brands perfectly.
With luxurious seating and finishes, a glass sky-lit roof and sleek store frontages, the Urban Room forms the centrepiece of the Mailbox and is the ideal setting for brands looking to introduce their products and services to our discerning visitors.

Joe Pidgeon, co-founder and events director at Best of Britannia, adds:

The idea for Best of Britannia came about because it was clear there wasn’t anyone shouting loudly enough about the range and depth of high quality British made products.
Born primarily as a celebration of the fantastic range of high-end British-made products, Best of Britannia is part of a movement towards a market-place that is becoming much more aware of how, where and who a product is made by.
The Mailbox provides the perfect destination to showcase our fantastic collection of designers of brands and celebrate everything that British manufacturing does best.
