The Botanist Birmingham unveils its Spring 2018 menu

Birmingham city centre bar and restaurant The Botanist has unveiled its Spring menu, with vibrant dishes to suit a wide range of palates and dietary requirements.

From satisfying platters to comfort foods, James Scott, executive chef at The Botanist, has created a new collection of vegan, delicious dairy free, vegetarian and non-gluten dishes that are designed to lead - not follow - bar and restaurant dining.

Diners at the bar and restaurant in Temple Street can look forward to trying a new selection of nibbles, starters and The Botanist deli board, which comprises a satisfying platter of chilled favourites, hot pots, meats, fish and cheeses. The Botanist has also introduced a flavoursome jalapeño and cheddar bloomer bread to accompany its popular deli board.

Classic dishes have also been given a modern twist, while activated charcoal flatbreads are a new lunchtime speciality that sit alongside comforting mains, salads, rotisserie favourites and the Famous Hanging Kebabs.

Other dining highlights include charred edamame beans with chilli, garlic and sesame oil and harissa aubergine steak served with saffron and almond couscous, grilled baby gem and tahini dressing.
The bitter chocolate and roasted pineapple pot with raspberry sorbet is the perfect end to lunch or dinner.

Soon-to-be-favourites include the new crispy calamari coated with fajita salt, guacamole, toasted sweetcorn and tomato salsa, and the flat iron steak sandwich with whipped garlic goats cheese and rotisserie gravy.
Inspired by fresh herb gardens, the sharing camembert baked in garlic and rosemary sourdough with braeburn apple and smoky apple ketchup is a must-try, while the baked kale crisps with apple cider vinegar promises to whisk diners away to delicious apple orchards.

Just in time for Mother's Day, The Botanist Birmingham will be gifting all mums a complimenary cocktail with their meal on Sunday 11th March.
