Tenant signings ramp up ahead of The Mailbox’s Spring launch
Birmingham’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination, the Mailbox, has announced that over 70% of its units have been let or are in final negotiations ahead of its much-anticipated launch in Spring 2015.
The redevelopment is in full swing with work currently well underway in creating the brand new signature Harvey Nichols store located at the heart of the premises, which will more than double in size to 45,000 sq. ft.
Hugo Boss is the latest luxury fashion brand to commit to the re-launched Mailbox, taking a unit of over 3,000 sq. ft. Joining Hugo Boss is Emporio Armani, L.K. Bennett, Jaeger and Gieves and Hawkes.

Urban neighbourhood kitchen, Gas Street Social, is the latest brand to be announced as part of the Mailbox’s already impressive food and beverage offering. Gas Street Social serves local food, wines and artisan coffee. As well as brunch, fresh bread and pastries and an all-day menu, it offers locally-sourced and sustainable sharing plates in a home from home urban space.

We are delighted to officially open our doors to the general public when the Mailbox’s refurbishment is completed next Spring. We've brought together a fantastic team to create an incredible design and food and beverage offer which we believe will be a great addition to the newly refurbished Mailbox and Birmingham's world-class culinary scene.
A further boost to the impressive retail and food and beverage line-up will be the new luxury three screen 12,000 sq.ft. Everyman cinema which is set to open in early 2015.
The redevelopment project is transforming the entire retail mall which is being enclosed and skylit, creating an “urban room” with new facades, finishes and store frontages.
The project will also see the completion of 50,000 sq ft of high quality office space complimented by a feature reception. The large office floorplates, 4.8m ceiling heights and floor-to-ceiling windows offer great volume and an abundance of natural daylight.
Harvey Nichols, Emporio Armani, Nicky Clarke, Toni & Guy and BBC Birmingham remain open throughout the refurbishment, along with the scheme’s bars, restaurants, hotels, commercial offices and car park.
