Retail Birmingham launches 2015 Awards

Retail Birmingham, the Business Improvement District (BID) that represents over 1,000 city centre businesses, is calling on retailers to nominate their rising stars, talented teams and customer service gurus for the prestigious Retail Awards 2015.

The awards recognise retailers and individuals working in Birmingham city centre. The categories open for entry include Retail Team of the Year, Retail Talent of the Year, Retail Person of the Year and Outstanding Customer Service.

The winners will be selected by a panel of industry and media experts including Jonathan Cheetham, Chair of Retail Birmingham; Stacey Barnfield, Editor of the Birmingham Post, and Assistant Director of Employment at Birmingham City Council, Shilpi Akbar.

Jonathan Cheetham, Chair of Retail Birmingham, said:

2015 is without a doubt an incredibly important year for retail in the city. In addition to the high profile brands coming to Birmingham, it’s important that we recognise and support those who work on the frontline every day to ensure that our customers and visitors have a fantastic experience.
The high calibre of talent working in retail in Birmingham is a real credit to our city and something we should be very proud of. These awards provide a great opportunity to celebrate both small and large retailers and their achievements.”

Retailers in Birmingham city centre are encouraged to enter by the closing date on Monday 27 April 2015. For more information and entry details please visit www.retailbirmingham.co.uk.

The Outstanding Customer Service category is now open for public nominations. To nominate an individual and be in with a chance of winning a shopping voucher worth £100, please visit www.shoppinginbirmingham.com
