Marco Pierre White's first 'Chophouse' at Hotel La Tour
Marco Pierre White’s first ‘English Chophouse’ opens at the Hotel La Tour in November.
Expect fresh, high quality meat cuts prepared with precision by trained craftsmen. Classics like Welsh rarebit, grilled oysters, chicken and leek pie and trout tartar will also be on the menu – served up in the luxurious surroundings of the modern four star hotel.
Recognising Birmingham’s appetite for affordable glamour Mr White’s English Chophouse brings the traditional concept of a British chophouse to contemporary diners.
The celebrity chef, who’s been closely involved with developing the restaurant in the city centre’s east side, says:
Chophouses were created in London in the 18th century and became fashionable in the 1960s. Our past is our foundation, let’s not forget that.
