Kick start your New Year with well-being day at BMAG
Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is helping visitors to banish the January blues and kick start the New Year with a positive outlook, with a day of free activities designed to support physical and mental health on Saturday 28th January.
The Be Well day at BMAG will take place in the Industrial Gallery from 11am – 3pm and will give the public the chance to make the most of the start of the New Year.
Visitors will be able to have health checks, enjoy holistic therapy tasters and head and hand massages. Families will also be able to take part in craft activities, ‘Glow For It!’ ten minute dance sessions with glow sticks, and pick up a ‘Mindful Museums’ wellbeing trail to take around the gallery, or use at home.
There will also be the chance to find out about a range of Birmingham organisations that support personal wellbeing including Birmingham Carers Hub, Birmingham Mind, Alzheimer’s Society, Aquarius, drug and alcohol support, Ageing Better, Wildlife Trust, Stroke Association and BVSC, promoting everything from healthy walks, volunteering and blood pressure checks.
If that wasn’t enough visitors can pick up a healthy salad at the Edwardian Tearooms and continue the positivity at home by buying a mindfulness colouring book at the BMAG shop.
