From Brummie to Brazilian – new Brazilian restaurant to open in Birmingham

The award-winning Brazilian restaurant chain, Viva Brazil, will open in the city later this year, it can be revealed today.

Located on Bennetts Hill, the new restaurant and bar will bring a £1.2m investment to the area. With a 200 seat capacity and set over two floors, this will be the chain’s largest site and flagship restaurant across the country.

Viva Brazil is an authentic-style Brazilian steak house that offers a dining experience dating back hundreds of years to the tastes of the cowboys of Southern Brazil.

As part of the dynamic experience, professional passadors will move from table to table, expertly hand carving a fine selection of slow-cooked meats from large skewers in front of customers. In total, there are over 15 delicious cuts for meat fiends to try.

Complementing these delicious meats will be an exclusive salad bar offering a range of freshly prepared salads and vegetables, as well as an exciting variety of hot Brazilian dishes, fruit, cold meat and sauces.

Front and centre of the new restaurant will be an exclusive bar area serving a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Top of the list for any newcomers is the traditional Brazilian cocktail, Caipirinha, made using locally sourced cachaça rum, freshly squeezed limes and sugar.

Founder and managing director of the restaurant chain, Andy Aldrich, said:

Viva Birmingham represents a very exciting prospect and I am delighted to announce its opening in September this year. This is a major milestone for our business and signifies our long-term ambition to create a fantastic dining experience in the heart of Birmingham.

Andy added:

Viva Brazil brings the vibrant fever of Brazil to life by giving you more of everything – the finest locally sourced foods, the most varied menu and a unique and lively atmosphere where friends and families can wine and dine.
Whether it is bite to eat or a quick drink at the bar, we hope that the people of Birmingham take to our brand and enjoy the service we provide. We look forward to welcoming them to our ever expanding family.

The new restaurant will create 40 jobs and will begin recruiting later in the year.
