Cadbury World creation is choc-full of Brum

Some of Birmingham’s most iconic landmarks look good enough to eat, thanks to the latest chocolate masterpiece by Cadbury World chocolatiers.

Handcrafted by 3 of Cadbury World’s in-house chocolatiers in just 4 days, the impressive creation has been made to celebrate the attraction’s 25th anniversary this year. Just one milestone occasion in an exciting year for Birmingham, the creation also features a number of the city’s most popular landmarks, attractions and key events.

From marking the imminent opening of Grand Central and the redeveloped Mailbox, to showcasing high profile sporting events including The Ashes and the Rugby World Cup, the chocolate city provides the perfect guide to 2015 in Birmingham.

With the buildings weighing in at over 57kg, the equivalent of 1267 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk the model is one of the attraction’s biggest and most intricate creations to date. Measuring approximately 1m3, and spanning three tiers, the design will be on display at Cadbury World throughout August and September.

Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said:

There’s no better way to celebrate our 25th anniversary than with an amazing chocolate creation, and as one of Birmingham’s most iconic visitor attractions, we wanted to celebrate being part of a great city too.
With so many great things happening in Birmingham this year, we definitely think making them in chocolate is the best way to showcase them!

Having opened in 1990, the popular attraction is now home to 14 amazing zones that are choc-full of fun. From learning about the history of the cocoa bean and Cadbury chocolate through the Aztec Jungle and Bull Street zones, to experiencing the feeling of riding on a Crunchie rollercoaster in the 4D Chocolate Adventure zone which opened last year, there’s lots of Cadbury magic for the whole family to enjoy.
