Birmingham's Peach ranked 43 in Sunday Times Best Companies To Work For

The Peach Pub Company, which runs The High Field gastropub and The High Field Town House boutique hotel in Edgbaston, Birmingham, has risen to number 43 in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies list 2018, reaffirming it as a great company to work for.

Peach rose up the list in the annual ranking of the best of Britain's employers, a year after it joined the national ranking for the first time.  The High Field will be holding its own celebration to mark the achievement over the course of the coming week and when the full list is published this Friday, 2nd March, with guests and the pub team raising a glass to toast Peach's success.

Now in its 18th year, The Sunday Times Top 100 is an annual survey and ranking of the best of the country's employers.  Each company entering undergoes a rigorous examination of its approach to training, wellbeing, leadership and employee satisfaction, whilst its employees give their honest feedback on their employers in an anonymous team survey.

The resulting list is therefore a true reflection of the best, most forward-thinking employers who strive to motivate, challenge and reward their people.

"Last year, when we were recognised as being one of the best places to work in the UK in perhaps the most important list in the country, it felt like a dream come true,

says Peach Partner Sarah Robinson.

"This year, when we were again ranked against some of the best businesses in the UK, to see Peach move higher up that list is just fantastic.
"We are genuinely getting better as a company to work for, and in the year since we first earned this recognition, we have really concentrated on the areas we needed to improve the lives of our team.
"Our purpose is to make life Peachy, for our guests and our suppliers and especially for our people.   We concentrate on that mission every day for our team. Our goal is to be permanently in the top ten Sunday Times list, and to get there within the next three years,"

she says.

Peach began in 2002, when it opened The Rose & Crown in Warwick, believing every town deserves a great pub. Well-kept beer, a quality steak cooked by a proper chef and a glass of decent wine is a recipe for happiness, and the company works hard to make its team feel just as much at home as its guests.
