Birmingham TV stars Alison Hammond & Emma Willis bring festive cheer to retail campaign
A region wide Christmas marketing campaign featuring Birmingham-born TV stars Alison Hammond and Emma Willis, has been launched by Retail Birmingham, the Business Improvement District (BID) that represents over 1,000 city centre businesses, in an effort to support retailers, bars and restaurants in Birmingham city centre throughout the most important shopping season of the year.
Current ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Alison Hammond and TV presenter Emma Willis are voicing festive radio adverts as part of the ‘SHOP SHOP SHOP’ consumer campaign that are airing across the region throughout the festive period, together with a programme of targeted print, outdoor and online advertising
The Christmas campaign features models dressed in clothing and accessories available in Birmingham city centre stores, including House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols. It is designed to promote the variety of stores, experiences and activities available to shoppers in Birmingham city centre and support retailers during the busy retail period. The campaign will enable stores and services to capitalise on the increased footfall brought in by citywide attractions such as the Christmas Parade and light switch on this weekend (8 November), the Frankfurt German Market (Launching on 13 November) and the Ice Rink at Centenary Square (15 November).
Visitors can enjoy festive activity in big name stores and award winning restaurants and bars, as well as hundreds of independents retailers, all offering unique products and services throughout the Christmas Period. From the magical Christmas Grotto at House of Fraser, which opens from 29 November, to late night shopping at Bullring from 1 December and ‘Elfridges’ on hand at Selfridges to help shoppers with their Christmas lists, there are endless reasons to visit Birmingham for a unique shopping experience this Christmas.
