All Aboard For Cadbury World’s Big Red Bus Tour
It’s ‘All Aboard’ the latest chocolate creation going on display at Cadbury World this summer, as the popular attraction celebrates all that is ‘Great’ at some of Britain and Northern Ireland’s top tourist sites.
Visitors to Cadbury World will be given the chance to spot the beautifully created Big Red Bus as it ‘travels’ the length and breadth of the country, pointing out some of the must-see destinations that people can enjoy on their summer holidays.
Top tourist attractions featured include The Eden Project in Cornwall, The Blackpool Tower, Loch Ness, The Rovers Return and Stonehenge.
With the holiday season in full swing, Cadbury World’s chocolatiers wanted to celebrate their top 20 favourite places to visit without boarding a plane, whilst also echoing some of Cadbury’s incredible heritage.
Chocolatier, Donna Oluban, said:
We chose to create our Big Red Bus as we found a great picture in our archives of people in the 1890s enjoying a day out on a branded horse drawn tram. We wanted to put a modern day twist on it for the summer, and thought our visitors would enjoy ‘touring’ the United Kingdom in an open top bus to see some of the country’s most popular sites.
Weighing in at around 42kg and constructed using the equivalent of 933 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk, the Big Red Bus, which is coated in red lustre and has edible black tyres, took three chocolatiers just under a week to make.
The chocolatier team, which also includes Dawn Jenks and Sonia Drew, are keen for visitors to spot all of the other gems they have created in Cadbury World’s Chocolate Making Zone, where the Big Red Bus will be on display until the end of September.
Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said:
Our chocolate creations are always popular, and we wanted to make sure we came up with something particularly special for the summer. Our Big Red Bus is brimming with detail, including the Chuckle Beans who have jumped on board with their maps and binoculars to take in the sites. We’ve all enjoyed spotting the range of tourist destinations that feature in the creation, and we’re sure our visitors will have fun too.
Our Big Red Bus will also be making an appearance on Cadbury World’s social media channels, so the eagle-eyed should keep watch and see if they can spot where it’s heading to next.
Cadbury World’s talented chocolatiers regularly create chocolate marvels for visitors to enjoy – to not only show off their creative talent but also highlight some of the incredible events taking place throughout the country.
Recent creations have included a giant chocolate dinosaur celebrating the arrival of Dinosaurs in the Wild at the NEC, Buckingham Palace to mark The Queen’s 90th birthday and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
