Acclaimed actor Adrian Lester OBE lends his support to MAC Birmingham

Birmingham born, multi-award winning actor, writer and director Adrian Lester OBE will be lending his support to MAC’s campaign – If you love us, Help us, Use us, with an exclusive interview, highlighting his illustrious career - including time spent at MAC, up to the present day.

An Evening with Adrian Lester takes place on Thursday 26 October at 8pm at MAC Birmingham. Adrian will explore his early years of acting, singing and dancing in Birmingham leading to classical theatre – Othello and Henry V (National Theatre), Red Velvet playing Ira Aldridge, the long-running BBC TV series Hustle and the recent Sky series, which he also directed – Riviera.

To book tickets for An Evening with Adrian Lester, priced at £15 visit www.macbirmingham.co.uk or call MAC’s sales and information team on 0121 446 3232.

All donations received as a result of this event will be used to support MAC’s important work in talent development.
MAC’s If you love us, Help us, Use us fundraising campaign was launched on Valentine’s day following a 70% cut in funding from Birmingham City Council. The campaign - a call to action, highlighted the many ways visitors could support MAC, whether through donations, using its café or seeing an additional show.

Visitors can also donate via:
• MAC’s website: www.macbirmingham.co.uk/support
• MAC’s several donation boxes within the venue.

For press enquiries please contact Marcia Springer, Communications Manager at marcia.springer@macbirmingham.co.uk or call 0121 446 3237.
