This Is A Free Cocktail Warning!

May Day! May Day! This Is A Free Cocktail Warning!

Drinkers in Birmingham will be heeding the “May Day” warning this May, with a free cocktail for completing the Bitters ‘n Twisted Venue’s cocktail trail, now in its third year.

Cocktail fans who visit and buy a cocktail in three of the Bitters ‘n Twisted’s venues throughout May will be rewarded with a fourth free drink.  With the two May Bank Holidays just around the corner the venues will be offering some one-off creations using Jim Beam and a mix of other creative ingredients, perfect for lazy Sunday drinking.  Offerings including a “Ginger Jim” – Fresh ginger, Jim Beam, a mix of juices and Licor 43 at Bodega Bar Y Cantina or a “Slow Beam” - Jim Beam, Sloe Gin, Grenadine and Orange Juice at The Rose Villa tavern - but the offer is available on all of the cocktails on the menu.

Enthusiasts will be given a cocktail trail card at their first venue, they then need to visit and buy a cocktail in three other of the Bitters ‘n Twisted’s venues to complete the trail.  Drinkers will be able to collect as many cards as they like and the offer is available on all cocktails, including some Jim Beam specials at each venue.

Once the trail has been completed customers are encouraged to share pictures of their complete cards and cocktails on social media for a chance to win a place at a Jim Beam Luxury Cocktail Masterclass, being held at The Victoria on June 22nd

Venues participating include Island Bar on Suffolk St, The Victoria on John Bright St, The Jekyll & Hyde on Steelhouse Lane, Bodega on Bennetts Hill, The Rose Villa Tavern in the Jewellery Quarter, The New Inn in Harborne and the recently opened Marmalade, situated within The Rep on Centenary Square.

Matt Scriven, director of Bitters ‘n Twisted Venues, said:

With the warm weather upon us and a hint of summer in the air we’re planning to offer customers quirky and creative drinks perfect for lazy days outside or as an after work treat – and with the venues offering a cocktail on the house there is no better time than now to see what we’re all about!
