Here's some more information about some specific features of the Explore Birmingham itineraries tool:
Private, Shared or Public
You have a number of options on what to do with your itinerary. Whatever option you choose you will be able to come back to, edit, download and print your itinerary.
PRIVATE – here you will be the only person who can access your itinerary using your personal log in details.
SHARED – with this option you can also share the itinerary with friends by sending as an email or posting a link to it on Facebook, Twitter or other social networking sites.
PUBLIC – if you chose the publish option your itinerary will be published on the Explore Birmingham section so that your visit is publicly available to view.
Please note: You can change the status of your itinerary at any time. Where you chose the publish option or if after your visit you add pictures or video this content will be moderated by Marketing Birmingham and we reserve right not to include or remove any footage that is not in line with our Content Standards. See Terms & Conditions for more details.
You have the option to choose an 'Itinerary Focus' for your itinerary. You can choose from any of the activities added to your itinerary as the focus of your visit. For example, if you are coming to Birmingham to see a theatre show and are going for a meal first, you may want to select the theatre show as your focus. The choice is yours.
Categorise by interest
You can optionally choose to categorise your itinerary by any of the event and place categories in the Explore Birmingham section.
You can optionally choose to categorise your itinerary by user group. This is useful when making your itinerary public. Users can filter itineraries by these user groups in the Public Itineraries section so they can find ones that are most suitable to them.
