City of Colours is BACK!!!
After such a spectacular festival in 2014 we were all pretty gutted when there was no City of Colours Festival in 2015 but hurrah it is BACK!
The incredible team have worked tirelessly to make sure the event happened this year and we can’t wait to go along and get stuck in. After running an instameet with them we have all become hooked on the vibrant street art scene they have created around the creative quarter of Digbeth (we even now know the names of some of the street artists).
The festival is a celebration of this amazing art form and there are some things to watch out for whilst you are there:
The amazing new pieces of art from some of the leading street artists. We are not just talking local but even some international bods, so expect to see the best of the best
The day is not only a feast for the eye but also the ears. Expect some amazing live bands and top tunes from the best of Birmingham’s DJ’s
This is not just in one location, oh no the festival is stretched out across 15 venues. Digbeth has really come together, from indoor skate ramps to a market hall, the whole area is on showcase
Get involved. From a range of workshop you could also soon become the next Banky...sort of
FOOD! Anyone who regularly reads content on this website will know the team are slightly obsessed with food. If all the above was enough to tempt you in Digbeth Dining Club will also be talking up residency
Best of all this festival is FREE, so accessible to all. Whether you know absolutely nothing about street art, you are new to it like us or you are obsessed with it like the City of Colours folks this festival is a fantastic day for all
