A wintry treat as Me…comes to mac birmingham
Baby penguins are always a crowd pleaser, and the latest show from Little Angel Theatre, Me… is just that.
For any little ones enchanted by cute penguins, glistening snow or shimmering bubbles, this is definitely a show to watch.
My three-year-old daughter Phoebe couldn’t wait to see the show at mac birmingham. It was really nice that there weren’t individual seats at the Foyle Studio, so we could cuddle up to watch the show together. Most of the children were excited to see the penguin already on stage with the egg just about to hatch.
Me… is about a little penguin who is learning how to survive in the big world. He tries to walk, slide and swim – and deal with a very gusty storm. It’s tough to learn everything when you’re so small, but whenever he is struggling, his mum and dad are on hand to show him how to be a penguin.
Phoebe loved the start of the show, when the baby penguin’s egg hatched, and couldn’t stop laughing when he tried to slide across the ice and swim in the sea. The staging was simple and beautiful, particularly at night when stars started twinkling.
Phoebe thought that Me… was “amazing and super funny!”. She hummed its music all day, and couldn’t wait to tell her brother about the cheeky baby penguin who had started living in the mac.
Me… is at mac Birmingham until 30 November. You can book tickets here.
