Established in the year 1797, situated in the Black Country, Stourbridge, Nickolls & Perks is the oldest wines and spirits merchant in the UK outside London.
As winners of the 1999 Business Link Award for Export Achievement and being acclaimed recently by Which Wine Guide as "The Bordeaux Wine Merchant Specialist of the UK", Nickolls & Perks Ltd are looking forward to the challenges it will face in its fourth trading century as Wine Merchants.
The Company consists of a small, dedicated team including fourth generation family members.
Bordeaux, Champagne, Vintage Port & Whisky are our main specialist areas, we keep a particularly close eye on new developments. New vintages are assessed regularly and improvements in winemaking and wine makers at certain Chateaux and Domains are recognised as early as possible.
Long-term client relationships are the backbone of our business, forged by maintaining a personal touch.
These days, an increasing amount of our business is carried out on-line, it’s vital that we adapt to the environment in which we live; we believe in keeping up with new technologies to help us to communicate our message and deliver our goals more efficiently, but we never lose sight of our tradition and heritage. Our customers swear by us, not at us!
We regularly host tasting events for retail and corporate customers in our 16th Century Cellars and other venues in the Midlands.
Although we are proudly located in The Black Country we’re easy to find from Birmingham; only 12 miles or 30 minutes away from the centre of the city, with excellent road, bus and rail links. Visitors to our shop and cellars are delighted to find such a delightfully unspoilt business offering the widest range of wines and spirits in the area.
